Withstood the test of time

Warmest congratulations to the men and women of the Manila Bulletin on your anniversary. Your paper has withstood the test of time and is a testament to the longevity and strength of objective and balanced news reporting.

Your anniversary theme, “Moving Forward,” is a timely idea as we step towards digitalization and seize the new mindset of the digital age. “Moving forward” also represents our resolve to rise up from the challenges of our times as we journey towards the so-called “new normal” of this generation and beyond.

Having been an “exponent of Philippine progress” for more than a century, the Manila Bulletin will surely continue to be a major part of the progress of the Filipino people as we travel the path of the new era of technological advancements in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

I share this momentous event today with all of you by launching my memoir, Deus Ex Machina, published by the Manila Bulletin. My profound gratitude to the Manila Bulletin for playing this major role in my memoir.
