Las Pinas City Mayor Imelda Aguilar announced that the City Health Office (CHO) had already recorded a total of 9,188 registrants for the “Bakunahan sa Kabataan” for children 5 to 11 years old.
Aguilar said the 9,188 recorded registrants prove that parents are eager to have their children get the jab against the COVID-19 after the Bakunahan sa Kabataan online registration was launched on Saturday (Jan. 29).
She said the pediatric vaccination will be conducted at the SM Center, Robinsons Place, and The Tent.
The mayor said the city government recorded a total population of 79,000 of children aged 5 to 11 and will open additional tents once the number of registrants increases.
Aguilar said the city government is also coordinating with the Las Pinas School Division to register students aged 5 to 11 years old.
She expressed hope for more children to register to receive free vaccination from the city government.
