‘All of Us Are Dead’ debuts at No. 1 on Netflix chart, sets new record for a Korean title


The new Korean zombie series “All of Us Are Dead” debuted at No. 1 as the most viewed show on Netflix and set a new first-week record for any Korean title, beating global hit “Squid Game.”

Netflix has released the weekly global top 10 most viewed shows and films on the video streaming platform from Jan. 24 to 30.

In the top 10 non-English shows, “All of Us Are Dead,” released on Jan. 28, is the No. 1 most watched show with 124.79 million hours viewed.

With this, according to Netflix, “All of Us Are Dead” set a new record for the most viewed hours in the first week for any Korean title since it began its top 10 chart last year. The series is in the top 10 in 91 countries and is the No. 1 most watched title overall for the week among all shows and movies on Netflix.

“Making its debut on the non-English TV list, Korean zombie thriller, ‘All of Us Are Dead’ came in at #1 with 124.79M hours viewed and made the top 10 in 91 countries. This marks the most hours viewed in the first week for any Korean title since we started releasing our Top 10s last year, and makes the series our most viewed title of the week,” according to Netflix.

“All of Us Are Dead” beat the first-week record of the Korean hit series “Squid Game,” released on Sept. 17, which garnered 63.19 million hours viewed in its first week on the Netflix chart for the period Sept. 13 to 19.

“Hellbound,” another Korean series, debuted at No. 1 on the Netflix chart with 43.48 million hours viewed for the period Nov. 15 to 21.

According to Netflix, "All of Us Are Dead" is No. 1 in 29 countries and territories for the chart week: Guadeloupe, Jamaica, Martinique, France, Germany, Mauritius, Nigeria, Réunion, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait, Malaysia, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam and New Caledonia.
