The Vice President was in Pangasinan to attend the launch of the community learning hub and Swab Cab initiative there. She was also scheduled to meet with Lingayen Archbishop Socrates Villegas.

Earlier, Robredo already said that her daughters—Aika, Tricia, and Jillian—will attend activities on her behalf if she is indisposed because of her duties as the country’s second top official.

Her youngest Jillian attended the inauguration and blessing of the Leni-Kiko Volunteer Center in West Rembo, Makati City.

Jillian, who will be graduating in May from the New York University, was joined by senatorial aspirant Sonny Matula and other volunteers from Makati for Leni-Kiko, Makatizens 4 Leni-Kiko, and Biker4Leni-Makati Chapter.

Hundreds of volunteers also held a Parade for Leni and Kiko before the blessing of the Makati volunteer center.

"Alam ko pong maraming nagpapasalamat sa aming magkakapatid kasi pinayagan namin siyang tumakbo (I know that a lot are thanking us because we allowed her to run)," Jillian said, referring to their initial opposition to their mother's seeking the highest office.

"Pero kami po talaga ang dapat magpasalamat sa inyo kasi kayo ang nagbibigay sa amin ng lakas at pag-asa (But we should be the ones to thank you because you give us strength and hope)," she added.

Jillian urged the Vice President’s supporters and volunteers to engage those spreading fake news and misinformation on social media in a positive way.

This way, they might convince them to vote for Robredo in the May elections.

"Sana i-welcome din natin iyong ibang tao na baka (We should welcome other people who) hopefully in the next three months, magbago ng isip at maging kakampink na rin (will change their minds and become kakampink)," she said.

Aika, the eldest, also attended the launch and blessing of the Robredo People’s Council (RPC) Volunteer Center in Brgy. New Zaniga, Mandaluyong City.

On the same day, supporters also held a motorcade in Batangas passing through the cities of Tanauan, Lipa, San Jose, and Balete, where they received a warm welcome from fellow supporters who were seen waving pink flags.

“#Kakampinks lined up along the road in Batangas forming a kilometer long stationary caravan to show their support for VP Leni Robredo,” Insurers for Leni said in a Facebook post.

Meanwhile, senatorial aspirant Atty. Chel Diokno, who is running under the ticket of Robredo and Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, joined the caravan in his home province of Batangas.

He joined the last stop of the caravan in Tanauan City before he attending a mass at Faith Colleges, where he also held a meet-and-greet with supporters.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa mainit na pagtanggap ng mga kapwa ko (I am thankful for the warm welcome of my fellow) Batangueno,” Diokno, who hails from Taal, said.

“Magsisilbi ito bilang inspirasyon ko sa aking pag-iikot sa buong bansa sa mga susunod na araw (This will serve as an inspiration in going around the country in the next days),” he added.

Around 2,000 vehicles joined the caravan, surpassing the organizers’ initial target of 1,600.
