Did you know that singer Yeng Constantino and TV host Ryan Bang share a romantic past?
Actually, they could have been a couple, that is, if Ryan didn’t stop courting Yeng.
This and more were revealed during a recent episode of “It’s Showtime,” where the two stars finally had “closure” after so many years.
It started with Yeng opening up about it commenting on a contestant of “Tawag ng Tanghalan.”
She said: “Minsan, kahit hindi mo nga naging jowa, e, basta nagparamdam na sa ‘yo tapos biglang nawala, naku, napakasakit talaga. ‘Di ba, Ryan?”
Vice Ganda then asked Ryan to add to it.
2010, ‘no, Yeng? Nanligaw ako kay Yeng.”
Asked how he was able to move on after she rejected him, Yeng interjected: “Hindi kita binasted!
Yeng admitted she was “sad” after Ryan stopped pursuing her.
She maintained that it could have actually blossomed.
Pero noong time na ‘yun, kilig na kilig talaga ako sa kaniya,” was how she put it.
Ryan apologized for ghosting her.
“Yeng, pasensya na. Dapat pala nagpaalam ako, nagtanong ako sa ‘yo,” he said.
On the other hand, some of the hosts were teasing Yeng if Ryan was the inspiration behind her well-loved “Chinito” track.
Note that it lyrics goes: “Mapapansin mo ba / Kaya ang tulad ko / Kahit nasa sulok lang ng iyong mga mata / Mahuli mo kaya ang pagsulyap sa’yo / Kahit hindi naman ako ang iyong kaharap / Oh, chinito / Balang araw ay malalaman mo rin.”
Chinito… Chinito…”
It can be recalled that during an interview some years ago, Yeng revealed that she didn’t write “Chinito.”
She shared it was originally titled “Chinita,” written by Jed Dumawal, who was inspired by Shan Cai from “Meteor Garden.”
