UST grad tops med tech board exam


The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced on Monday, Jan. 24, that 1,307 out of 2,619 passed the Medical Technologist Licensure Examination (MTLE) given this month.

Kyle Patrick Rivera Magistrado of the University of Santo Tomas (UST) topped the board exam after obtaining a percentage rating of 90.40, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced Monday, Jan. 24.

Magistrado was followed by Natalie Regina Kwan Cu, a fellow Thomasian, with a percentage score of 89.30.

Elaine Ybanez placed third with a percentage rating of 88.70.

Meanwhile, Saint Louis University emerged as the top-performing school with 78 of its 83 examinees passing the board exam.

It was followed by the University of Baguio with 80 out of 95 examinees passed.

MTLE was conducted on Jan. 15 to 16 at several testing centers in National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Davao, Iloilo, Legapis, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.

The results were released six working days after the last day of the examination.
