Gov’t offices affected by Alabang mall fire resume operations in different locations


National and local government offices that were affected by the fire at a mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa have resumed operations but in different locations.

A fire hit the Starmall Alabang mall last Jan. 8 that took 33 hours for firefighters to extinguish.

Several government agencies that were operating at the mall have transferred to other locations.

People can secure their police clearance at the Muntinlupa City Police Station headquarters in Barangay Tunasan, Muntinlupa.(Muntinlupa police)

The National Bureau of Investigation’s (NBI) Satellite Office in Muntinlupa released an advisory that it has transferred operations to the fourth floor of Ayala Malls South Park and would start operations on Tuesday, Jan. 25.

NBI Muntinlupa said it will only release the clearance applications that have been submitted before the mall fire and will not accept new applications for now. For further inquiries, the public may reach NBI Muntinlupa at 09071872304 or 8938-7629.

The Muntinlupa City Police Station (MCPS) also announced the resumption of the processing of police clearance. The public can get police clearance at the ground floor of the MCPS headquarters at Centennial Avenue (formerly Laguerta) in Barangay Tunasan in Muntinlupa.

The Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau (MTMB) resumed office transactions last Jan. 12 at the Bayanan Baywalk covered court in Barangay Bayanan.

Firefighters estimated the cost of damage of the mall fire at P100 million.
