2 robbery suspects nabbed in QC


Two men were arrested by police shortly after they held up a woman in Barangay Tatalon, Quezon City on Monday evening, Jan. 24.

Police Lt. Col. Von June Nuyda, Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Galas Station 11 (PS 11) commander, identified the suspects as Aries Timola, 20, and Jefferson Ablao, 18, both residents of Barangay Tatalon.

According to the police report, the victim, Dianne Rose Necasio, 27, a merchandiser, was waiting for a ride at the corner of G. Araneta Avenue and Kaliraya Street in Brgy. Tatalon on Monday at around 11:30 p.m. when the suspects declared holdup.

At gunpoint, the suspects took Necasio's phone tablet and fled.

Personnel from the PS 11, who were conducting patrol and surveillance around the area, immediately responded after the victim shouted for help, leading to the suspects' arrest.

Police recovered from the suspect a .38-revolver, two live ammunition, and the stolen phone tablet.

Timola and Ablao will be charged with robbery under Article 293 of the Revised Penal Code and violation of Republic Act 10591 or the "Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition” in relation to the Commission on Elections gun ban.
