MOTW and Misters of Filipinas Director for Licensing Aski Pascual confirmed that Misters of Filipinas 2019 Tommy Penaflor will no longer represent the Philippines due to his commitment and residency status in the United States of America.

“Tommy Penaflor is always the first choice of the organization as representative of the Philippines, but due to pandemic, the pageant was delayed for almost two years. Tommy has now different priorities and decided not to compete anymore. We are very thankful with his work and contribution as Man of the World Philippines 2019. We wish him success for his new endeavors,” Pascual explained.

Nadim Elzein represented the Filipino Community of the United Arab Emirates during the 8th Annual Misters of Filipinas Search in Negros Oriental last October, where he emerged as the grand winner.

The 4th Man of the World pageant will kick off and will be staged with the vibrant, dynamic, and optimistic partner, presenter, and host committee - The Ray Casa Group of Companies under the leadership of Madame Jenelyn Floresca and team, Galang said.

The contest, Galang explained, is anchored on its advocacy and branding on tourism recovery along with the desire to uplift and preserve the cultural heritage and promote quality and inclusive education to the poor.

Despite the crisis affecting the world, Galang believes that the country can bounce back and recover.

"The question would be, can we bounce back, take off and recover our tourism industry, and can we normalize our educational system with this pandemic and calamities? Because we believe in collaboration and partnership, our answer is yes. Filipinas are known as resilient individuals," he said.

Galang also said that the pageant can still be done with proper health and safety protocols, adhere to the standard health guidelines, and be more proactive individuals. "We protect ourselves and more, so we will protect everyone. Be responsible individuals and citizens."
