50 to 100 vaccine doses available per pharmacy during 'Resbakuna sa Botika' launch – NTF special adviser
The national government aims to vaccinate 50 to 100 individuals against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) per pharmaceutical drug store during the launch of “Resbakuna sa Botika," National Task Force (NTF) against COVID-19 special adviser Dr. Teodoro “Ted” Herbosa said on Thursday, Jan. 20.

“Resbakuna sa Botika” or COVID-19 vaccinations in selected Metro Manila drugstores, is an initiative of the government in hopes of ramping up the country’s vaccination drive and to make the vaccines “accessible” for Filipinos.
To launch the vaccination program beginning Thursday, Jan. 20 until Friday, Jan. 21, the National Vaccination Operations Center (NVOC) partnered with seven drug stores and clinic networks namely Generika, Healthway, Mercury Drug, QualiMed Health network, Southstar Drug, TGP (The Generics Pharmacy), and Watsons.
“Sa trial natin, dito sa parang launch natin, nasa 50 to 100 doses lang ang ibinigay sa bawat botika. Apat na botika ang magoopen today. ‘Yung tatlo doon sa pito ay bukas. Titignan muna natin kung gaano sila kabilis magbakuna, kung mabilis silang mag vaccinate syempre ay dadagdagan ng NTF ang kanilang supply ng bakuna (During our trial, here at our launch, only 50 to 100 doses were given to each pharmacy. Four pharmacies are open today while three of those seven pharmacies will open tomorrow. Let’s first look at how fast they vaccinate, if they vaccinate fast, of course, the NTF will increase their supply of vaccine),” said Herbosa in an interview over DZBB.
Currently, only booster doses for individuals 18 years old and above will be administered in the pharmacies. Interested individuals need to pre-register as walk-ins will not be accepted on the vaccination sites.
