The municipal government of Angono in Rizal Province is offering up to P1,000 daily wage for vaccinators who will be hired by the local government.
Municipal Administrator Alan Maniaol told Manila Bulletin that the salary which is equivalent to the salary grade of the entry level registered nurse in the government, will be paid to a qualified applicant once he/she is hired as the town’s vaccinator.
Also eligible to apply are midwives but their salary will depend on the government mandated salary for midwife.
The hiring of vaccinators came as the number of health office workers and personnel contracted the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). Most of these medical frontliners were deployed as vaccinators in thecity's vaccination sites.
The town has recorded a decline in the number of new and active COVID-19 cases since January 14.
As of January 17, the town logged 422 active cases including 51 new cases as compared to the tally on January 14 with 635 active and 82 new cases, respectively.
On January 15, there were 582 active cases with 72 new cases; while there were 512 active cases including 61 new cases on January 16.
The town targets to inoculate some 31,512 individuals who are still unvaccinated.
The municipal government is allocating 50 slots for the first dose for the adult population on January 19 at the Angono Municipal Compound while another batch of 50 will be inoculated in Barangay Mahabang Parang for the first dose and booster shot for adults.
