Hundreds of teams registered to the qualifying tournament to get a chance of representing the country in the upcoming Southeast Asian Games in May.

Phase 1 will be in a do-or-die single elimination format with the best teams, including the ones that are directly invited, will comprise the eight teams that will battle for the slot in the 2nd phase qualifier.

Unfortunately, the Phase 1 of the qualifier will not be streamed while some of the 2nd Phase games especially the Finals will be available for fans to watch in Sibol’s Facebook page.

“From that Phase 1, we will just be getting, depending on each title basta ang matitira sa phase 2, eight teams bawat games. “Yung eight teams na ‘yon ‘yung maglalaro sa Phase 2 na most of them ili-livestream namin especially yung Finals,” said Philippine Esports Organization Secretary General and Executive Director Joebert Yu.

Aside from the Phase 1 qualifier, the Player Unknown Battleground (PUBG) Mobile PH qualifier is also happening this weekend.

The top PH teams in the tournament, aside from securing a spot in the PUBG Mobile Professional League (PMPL) MYSGPH, will be in consideration for the Sibol team.

The top 13 teams in the PH open qualifier on Jan. 17-19 will join three other invited teams Qualifier Finals on Jan. 22-23 with the lone spot in the PMPL and Sibol inclusion at stake.
