In a virtual public briefing, Tala Hospital Director Dr. Alfonso Famaran Jr. said that 93 percent of its healthcare workers have already received their COVID-19 booster shot.

"Yung operation tuloy pa rin po, tumanggap po kami ng manpower augmentation from Department of Health Central Office, nasa 214 personnel, sa , 10 personnel, tsaka sa General Hospital, five (Our operation still continues, we have received manpower augmentation from the DOH, CHD, and PNP General Hospital)," Famaran added.

The hospital director said he agrees with the shortened quarantine protocols for healthcare workers.

"Sa experience po namin, usually malaking tulong po ito sa amin since maaga po naming malalaman yung healthcare workers namin na pwede na pong bumalik sa trabaho after five days na naka-quarantine (In our experience, this has been a big help for us because we will know who among our healthcare workers can return to duty after five days of quarantine)," Famaran explained.

As of Monday, Famaran said 274 of its 520 COVID-19 beds are currently occupied.

He noted that of its 274 COVID-19 patients, eight are severe cases, seven are critical, while 259 are moderate.

"Sa 274, 43 percent nang naka-confine (of confined) are fully vaccinated, two percent partially vaccinated, and 55 percent not vaccinated," Famaran added.
