Quezon City's (QC) coronavirus disease (COVID-19) active cases went up to 31,479 on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
This is 14.72 percent of the city's 213,845 total confirmed cases based on the report released by the city's Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance Unit (CESU) and Health Department (CHD).
It is also 4, 235 higher than the 27,244 documented on Tuesday, Jan.11.
Among the six districts in the city, District 4 has recorded the most active cases with 7,185.
The tally also showed that out of the 142 baranggays in QC, Barangay Batasan Hills (District 2) has the highest number of active cases with 1,334, followed by Brgy. Pasong Tamo (District 6) with 1,053, and Brgy. Tandang Sora (District 6) with 1,003.
Meanwhile, Baranggay Mangga in District 3 has the lowest with only 10 active cases recorded.
As of Jan. 12, the city has logged 180,734 recoveries (84.52 percent of total) and 1,632 deaths (0.76 percent) from its 213,845 total confirmed cases.
