4 new provincial police chiefs in Western Visayas


ILOILO CITY — With the election period, the hierarchy of the Philippine National Police (PNP) has assigned new police chiefs in four provinces of Western Visayas region.

Police Brigadier General Flynn Dongbo, director of Police Regional Office (PRO-6), presided over the January turnover ceremony for the police chiefs of Iloilo, Guimaras, Antique, and Negros Occidental provinces.

“The revamp was made a day prior to the election period as there is no movement of personnel allowed authorized by the Commission on Elections (Comelec),” said Dongbo.

Police Colonel Adrian Acollador replaced Police Colonel Gilbert Gorero of Iloilo Police Provincial Office.

Police Colonel Richard Baluis replaced Police Colonel Pablito Asmod Jr. of Guimaras Police Provincial Office.

Police Colonel Alexander Mariano replaced Police Colonel Roy Parena of Antique Police Provincial Office.

Police Colonel Leo Pamittan and Police Colonel Romy Palgue of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office.

Aside from the election period, the four police chiefs have already stayed more than a year in their respective assignments and have to undergo career enhancement.
