16-year-old girl dies, baby hurt in Pasig fire

A 16-year-old girl died while a two-month-old baby was injured in a fire that hit four houses at Hillcrest Drive, Barangay Oranbo in Pasig City on Saturday morning, Jan. 8.

The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) identified the fatality as Gelyn Carol Advincula and the injured as baby Katrina.

The fire was raised to the first alarm at 2:05 a.m. and declared out at 2:40 a.m.

Authorities added that 15 individuals were affected by the fire.

The fire started at the main entrance of a house owned by one Geraldine Villamin.

Probers have yet to determine the cause of the blaze that damaged around P3.6 million worth of property.
