The Sandiganbayan offices in Quezon City are physically open Monday to Friday starting today, Jan. 3, with at least 50 per cent of its total personnel reporting physically for work from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Presiding Justice Amparo M. Cabotaje Tang said her office and those of her justice colleagues are also open and will operate with skeleton staff.

The other offices are also physically open and all officials and employees have been directed to “observe the necessary minimum health standards and social distancing.”

Officials and personnel who will not report physically for work were ordered to work from home to meet the 40-hour workweek.

“The chambers and offices scheduled for Saturday duty on Jan. 8 and 15, 2022 shall proceed in the same manner as has been the Sandiganbayan’s longstanding policy in order to act on bail applications and other urgent matters,” Presiding Justice Tang’s circular stated.

“The antigen testing scheduled on Jan. 3 and 6, 2022 shall proceed as scheduled. Each chamber and office are advised to schedule their respective shifts accordingly,” the circular also stated.

Presiding Justice Tang said the Sandiganbayan’s operations during COVID Alert Level 3 until Jan. 15 in the National Capital Region has been crafted in consultation with and approval of Chief Justice Alexander G. Gesmundo.
