Jung Hae-in and Jisoo star in “Snowdrop,” a drama about political conspiracy and espionage against the backdrop of the 1987 Korean presidential election and a romance that blooms amid it.

In the drama, the South and North Korean governments conspire for political power. North Korean spy Im Soo-ho (Jung Hae-in), a 27-year-old graduate student, is sent to South Korea to do a mission.

Jisoo is 20-year-old Eun Young-ro, a college student at Hosoo Women’s University. The two meet during a group blind date after which Eun Young-ro falls in love with him.

Six months later, during a mission, a bloodied Im Soo-ho is chased by agents from the ANSP. He climbs into the dormitory room of Eun Young-ro and loses consciousness. She finds him in her room and hides him from authorities.

In episode 6, Im Soo-ho and his fellow North Korean agents continued to hold hostage students including Eun Young-ro and staff at the Hosoo Women’s University dormitory. The group of Im Soo-ho was trying to complete their mission and return to North Korea. However, tactical errors and political maneuverings kept them holed up in the dorm.

Meanwhile, Jisoo is celebrating her 27th birthday on Jan. 3 and the hashtag #OurPrideJISOOday trended on Twitter as fans marked the occasion.
