PDEA seizes 5 kgs. marijuana in Davao City buy-bust

Agents of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 8, the eighth high-value target (HVT) drug personality in Region 11 in a buy-bust in Davao City.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of some P30,000 worth of marijuana in a buy-bust operation in Agdao district of Davao City.

The suspect Patrick Galindo, 26 was collared at 5:45 p.m. in Barangay San Antonio after selling five kilos of marijuana to a PDEA-Region 11 undercover agent.

Aside from marijuana, the PDEA Region11 team also confiscated the buy-bust money from Galindo.

Galindo is now detained at the PDEA Regional Office XI Detention Facility while the seized illegal drugs were submitted to its laboratory section for examination.

The suspect is now facing charges for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs) Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 or The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Chito A. Chavez)
