The Muntinlupa City government evacuated several families on Wednesday due to flooding brought by severe tropical storm “Jolina”.
According to Erwin Alfonso, head of the Muntinlupa City Department of Disaster Resilience and Management (MCDDRM), seven families composed of 21 individuals were evacuated from the Watiwati area in Greenheights, Brgy Putatan.

The National Road at the Muntinlupa-San Pedro, Laguna boundary became flooded as the river in the area overflowed.
The Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau (MTMB) advised motorists that several areas along the National Road were flooded due to heavy rains.
Due to bad weather, the Muntinlupa City government suspended the COVID-19 vaccination at 1 p.m. Mayor Jaime Fresnedi suspended classes in all levels.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), Metro Manila is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2 along with the northern and central portions of Oriental Mindoro (Bansud, Gloria, Pinamalayan, Pola, Socorro, Victoria, Puerto Galera, San Teodoro, Baco, City of Calapan, Naujan), the northern and central portions of Occidental Mindoro (Abra de Ilog, Paluan, Mamburao, Santa Cruz, Sablayan) including Lubang Islands, the central portion of Quezon (Infanta, Real, Mauban, Sampaloc, Lucban, City of Tayabas, Lucena City, Sariaya, Candelaria, Dolores, Tiaong, San Antonio, Pagbilao), Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Rizal, the southern portion of Bulacan (Pandi, Bulacan, Marilao, Calumpit, Norzagaray, Plaridel, Santa Maria, Balagtas, Bocaue, Bustos, City of Malolos, Angat, Obando, City of San Jose del Monte, Pulilan, City of Meycauayan, Hagonoy, Paombong, Guiguinto, San Rafael, Baliuag), Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, and Tarlac.
As of 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jolina was over San Nicolas, Batangas and was headed towards Cavite. It has maximum sustained winds of 95 km per hour near the center.
