Choose a leader who is accountable to God and to the people – CEAP
The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines-National Capital Region (CEAP-NCR) has called on the public to choose a leader who is accountable to God and to the people in the 2022 national elections.

CEAP-NCR president Fr. Nolan Que called on Filipinos to exercise the responsibility to vote and to choose the right leaders who will serve for the common good.
“The grace to vote is our freedom to choose who will lead our nation. We believe that Filipinos must exercise the freedom to vote for the good of all and not for the benefit of the self. To vote is to choose a leader who is accountable to God and to the people,” Fr. Que said.
The Church leader said the right to vote is a God-given gift and responsibility, that is, the chance to choose leaders who are worthy to lead the nation.
“This transfer of divine authority to rule is manifested through the ballot. It is only fitting, then, that the Filipino people must register for the upcoming 2022 national elections to ensure that the leaders who will be elected are chosen by the Holy Spirit, worthy to rule our nation,” he said.
CEAP-NCR said the voting public must examine the candidates’ moral character and intellectual convictions.
“Pray to ask God to strengthen our minds and strengthen our resolve to fulfill this God-given duty,” Fr. Que said.
Voter’s registration is until September 30 from 8 am to 7 pm, Monday to Friday, and from 8 am to 5 pm, Saturday and holidays.
The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) is the national association of Catholic educational institutions in the Philippines. Founded in 1941, it now has 1,500 members, which include universities and colleges offering academic and continuing education programs that are at par with many leading international schools in the world.
