3 national road sections in Cordillera, Leyte impassable due to 'Jolina'
Three national road sections in the country became impassable as typhoon "Jolina" continue to dump more rain in the country, the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) said on Tuesday, Sept. 7.

The road sections were impassable since Tuesday noon due to soil collapse and flooding, according to the DPWH-Bureau of Maintenance.
A section of the Jct. Talubin-Barlig-Natonin–Paracelis-Calaccad Road in Sitio Chupac, Kadaclan, Barlig, Mt. Province was closed due to soil collapse.
A quick response team with equipment is currently clearing the affected road section, the DPWH said on Tuesday afternoon.
In Leyte, a portion of the Jaro-Dagami-Burauen-Lapaz Road in Barangay Canlingga, Dagami Town, and Sto. Rosario-Villaba Road was impassable due to flooding. Warning signs were installed in the area to inform the motoring public.
"DPWH manpower, heavy equipment and vehicles from CAR, Regions 4A, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 13 are ready to response for the possible effect of Typhoon Jolina," the department said.
Typhoon Jolina has already made landfall in Masbate, Eastern Samar, and Samar. It is expected to make a landfall in southeastern Quezon Tuesday evening or early Wednesday morning, Sept. 8.
