PH Red Cross vaccinates over 180k individuals vs COVID-19
The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) has vaccinated over 180,000 individuals against coronavirus disease (COVID-19) through its vaccination centers and mobile vaccine clinics nationwide as of Sept. 5.

PRC Health Services Manager Mark Abrigo said 150,730 individuals were vaccinated in the PRC’s Bakuna Centers, while 31,206 individuals were inoculated in its Bakuna Buses.
Moreover, the PRC has vaccinated 5,948 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and seafarers in support of the government's National COVID-19 Vaccination Program for OFWs.
“There is no time for waiting. We need to vaccinate as many people as we can immediately,” PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon said in a statement Monday, Sept. 6.
Likewise, Gordon urged the public to always keep their guard up as COVID-19 cases in the country continue to rise.
“We need to protect ourselves from this virus. Dapat lahat tayo ay magpa bakuna (We should all be vaccinated) in order to protect not just yourselves, but also the people around you,” he said.
“Importante din na tayo ay regular na magpatest, dahil through testing dito natin malalaman kung ikaw tayo ay positive o hindi (It is also important that we test regularly, because through testing we will know if we are positive or not),” he added.
