Manila is the only city in NCR not included in COVID-19 Alert Level 4

Manila is the only city in the National Capital Region (NCR) that has been placed under Alert Level 3 or "moderate to critical risk" classification.

This was announced by the Department of Health (DOH) after all areas of Metro Manila logged a positive two-week growth rate, a high-risk average daily attack rate, and a high-risk case classification.

Manila has a bed occupancy rate lower than 70 percent.

"Kung ‘yun po ‘yung naging observation at nakita ng Department of Health sana po manatili kami na ganyan o di kaya ay mapababa pa namin. Kaya po nakikita po natin talagang kailangang-kailangan magpabaakuna ang mga batang Maynila na di pa nagpapabakuna (If that was the observation and the Department of Health, we hope to keep this status or bring it down further. So, we really see the need to vaccinate the residents who have not received yet their vaccine shots)," Dr. Arnold Pangan, Manila City health officer, said.

Pangan urged the Manila residents to get vaccinated so they can have more protection against COVID-19.

"Nandyan po ang ating 45 na health centers na bukas po Monday to Friday, alas-otso hanggang alas-kwatro po, para po kayo po ay tanggapin upang mabakunahan (We have 45 health centers that are open Monday to Friday, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. so that you can be vaccinated)," he said.

He added that four malls in the city are also open to receive the people who want to be vaccinated.
