Team Lakay's strawweight contender Lito Adiwang is beaming with confidence heading into his much-awaited fight against Chinese opponent Hexigetu in ONE: Revolution at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Sept. 24.
Adiwang was supposed to face Hexigetu last January but was postponed due to concerns surrounding the Chinese warrior.
The Team Lakay stalwart eventually won against replacement fighter Namiki Kawahara in a stellar second-round knockout win.
Adiwang described Hexigetu as an explosive fighter with good wrestling and ground control but the Igoror warrior insisted that he had visualized his strategy and gameplan against the Chinese fighter.
"Excited ako na makaharap siya so let's see who can strike first or tignan natin sino makaka-dominate sa ground kasi talagang pinaghandaan ko rin standing or ground," said Adiwang who holds a 12-3 record.
"'Yong mindset natin 'yong pinaka winning keyt natin kasi on my mind, alam kong na-visualize ko na rin kung paano ko siya tatalunin, paano kung saan papunta laban namin so I just need to go there and gawin 'yon."
It has been eight months since Adiwang last fought as his supposed bout with world No. 1 Jarred Brooks in ONE on TNT series was cancelled after testing positive for COVID-19 last April.
Aside from Adiwang, his teammate and current strawweight champion Joshua Pacio is set to defend his belt against Japanese rival Yosuke Saruta in the main card.
