Raymund Isaac, fashion and celebrity photographer passes away

Filipino photographer Raymund Isaac passed away months after being hospitalized due to COVID-19 in the US.

In July of this year, Raymund traveled to Las Vegas with his partner and account manager Jayson Vicente to Las Vegas for a shoot in Ceasars Palace, where he also had an encounter with actor Piolo Pascual. On the 24th of that month, the photographer was rushed to California Pacific Medical Center due to lack of oxygen.

The couple went to social media to ask for prayers and support. According to Jayson's latest Facebook update, Raymund was stable but was still kept in the intensive care unit, intubated and sedated as his condition changed from time to time.

"I know that he is fighting hard. We all need to continue to fight with him through his prayers. He still needs us all," Jayson posted.

Friends from the entertainment and fashion industry, such as designer Francis Libiran, actress Aiko Melendez, among others, expressed their condolences on social media.

Famously known as "the first celebrity photographer," Raymund first started capturing fashion and beauty editorial images. According to his website, he gained nods for his fashion and beauty works from American Photo Magazine and worked with international brands Evian and De Beers. He is also an author who helped celebrities Piolo and Judy Ann Santos with their books. Among his last works involved stars Kokoy de Santos and Elijah Canlas as they recreated iconic movie posters of American movies "Pretty Woman" and "Top Gun" for BL series "Gameboy" promotion.
