The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) now has 16 mobile vaccine clinics called as “Bakuna Bus” deployed in different parts of the country and conducting vaccination against coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Senator Richard Gordon said the humanitarian organization’s 16-fleet of mobile vaccine buses roams around the different parts of the country vaccinating communities even in far-flung areas.

“Sixteen na ang ating mga Bakuna Bus. Nandiyan na po iyan, nakadeploy na sa mga probinsiya natin na kailangan na kailangan talaga ng bakuna (We now have 16 Bakuna Buses. We have already deployed them in the provinces where the vaccine is really needed),” Gordon said in a statement.

“Kaya pag-nakita ninyo ang Red Cross Bakuna Bus sa inyong lugar, huwag nang magatubili. Magpabakuna na kayo upang mailigtas ang buhay ninyo, buhay ng inyong pamilya at mga minamahal sa buhay (So when you see the Red Cross Bakuna Bus in your area, don't hesitate. Get vaccinated to save your life, the lives of your family and your loved ones),” he added.

The PRC said that Ube Express loaned four of its buses, three of which were deployed in Cebu, and the other one in Metro Manila.

Meanwhile, Victory Liner loaned 10 of its buses to PRC with three of them deployed in the Province of Cavite, two in Laguna, two in Batangas, and one each in Quezon Province, Isabela, and Cagayan.

Bus firm Ceres Liner also lent the PRC two of its buses which will cater to the areas of Capiz and Negros Occidental.

“We need to ramp up our vaccination, mas marami ang hindi nababakunahan, mas mataas ang chance na mas marami ang magkaka severe cases dahil sa COVID-19 (with more unvaccinated people, there is a higher chance of more people getting severe cases due to COVID-19,” Gordon said.

“All vaccines work, the best way to protect yourself from COVID-19 is vaccination,” he noted, adding that all the vaccines administered by their bakuna bus is free from charge.
