Cristy Fermin defends Paolo Contis

"Hindi po si Yen (Santos), yung babae. Lalong hindi po si Paolo (Contis) ang lalaki."

This was the reaction of entertainment broadcaster Cristy Fermin when she tacked the publicized breakup of Paolo and his longtime partner LJ Reyes in her radio show "Cristy Ferminute."

Recall that after LJ confirmed the split, a video of Paolo and a female companion went viral.

But Cristy does not believe that Yen and Paolo were the personalities in the viral video.

Reacting to the interview of LJ by Boy Abunda, Cristy said that LJ failed to share the real reason of their split.

The veteran entertainment broadcaster also said that the Kapuso actress did not answer the questions on third party and money matter.

The veteran showbiz scribe agreed to Lolit Solis's two cents, who is Paolo's manager.

Cristy said: “Wala akong masilip eh. Wala akong makitang masama sa mata ni Paolo Contis ngayon eh. At saka para mapuno siya ng ganyan, Rommel. Matindi itong pinagdaanang ito.”

“Pinakamamahal mo si LJ, pinaglaban mo si LJ. Tinanggap mo sa kabila na meron na siyang anak sa ibang personalidad, tinanggap mo. Minahal mo si Aki. Kayo ni LJ ang nagpalaki sa bata. Mahal na mahal mo, parang tunay na anak mo. Bakit napuno ang salop? May dahilan na matindi diyan.”

Cristy also talked about LJ's claim that Paolo has changed.

“Nagbago talaga si Paolo Contis sa pagmamahal sa kanya (LJ Reyes)... Laging may dalawang panig ang isang isyu, tapos ‘yun katotohanan na sila lang dalawa ang nakakaalam.”

She thinks what affected the former couple's relationship is the fact that LJ chose to believe what others were saying about Paolo.

"Natural, ang lalaki ni-na-nag mo. Diyos ko, ‘day, sa kanila nakakasawa ‘yun. Kapag nagger ang babae, hindi nila gusto ‘yan," said she.

“Pagod na pagod si Paolo, maghapon magdamag nagtatrabaho, pagdating ng bahay kokomprontahin mo pa at sisinghalan? ‘Di ba parang ganon? Siyempre hindi gugustuhin ng lalaki ‘yan.”
