Navotas City gets ready for vaccination of minors aged 12-17

Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco said on Thursday that they are preparing a system for the efficient rollout of COVID-19 vaccines for individuals aged 12-17.

This is after President Duterte approved on Sept. 28 the inoculation of people belonging to this age group.

"Iniisip po namin ‘yung paraan na maging madali ito para sa mga estudyante (We are thinking of ways to make it easier for students)," he said in a Facebook live.

According to Tiangco, the local government has coordinated with the Schools Division Office to collect the records of more than 19,000 students in Navotas.

He said that once the vaccine supply arrives, they will request for the parents to fill up an online consent form to confirm their children's vaccination against the dreaded disease.

Out-of-school youth are advised to register online for their vaccination. (Aaron Dioquino)
