Denise Laurel's ex-fiancé now dating Sandra Lemonon

Sol Mercado, professional basketball player and former fiance of actress Denise Laurel, is back in the dating game.

And this time, he's making sweet music with beauty queen Sandra Lemonon.

In fact, on Instagram, Sol wrote an appreciation post for his new babe, who just celebrated her 26th birthday.

"'What’s understood doesn’t have to be explained,'" he wrote. "That’s US! Never have I had anyone get me and understand me the way you do, we constantly on the same vibration and I appreciate and love you more than can be explained through this post. Looking forward to continuing this journey together, life is so much better with you by my side!"

Meanwhile, Sandra also penned a sweet message for Sol, whom she described as the "biggest blessing" she has ever received. 

"You make me feel all the butterflies & always put a big smile on my face," she related. "I can never seem to be upset with you for to long because you always know how to make me laugh & be accountable while giving us grace & being patient in moments when we need it the most."

"To me you are perfect. (Yes I know no one is perfect, but you are perfectly imperfect & that is perfect for me)."

Sandra also declared that she admires and respects the man he is today.

"You have so much depth, strength, resilience, passion & compassion with in your heart & many other amazing qualities but that would be to long of a list to write them all down & some I cannot say them in public," she said. "I am so grateful to share & build life together & I can confidently say that you are the one for me. Thank you for being my guardian Angel & always protecting me & letting me be me."

It was in 2016 when Sol and Denise canceled their wedding after being engaged for three years.
