Bishop Santos sets up scholarship foundation for children of OFWs
Balanga Bishop Ruperto C. Santos has set up a scholarship foundation for the children of overseas Filipino workers, particularly those who lost their jobs amid the pandemic.

The Ad Seminandum RCS 10 Foundation, Inc. aims to look after the welfare of the children of Filipino workers who had been sent home by their employers.
“Our foundation aims to provide scholarships for the sons and daughters of OFWs in our nine diocesan schools here in Bataan, especially for the children of retrenched or repatriated OFWs,” Bishop Santos said over Radio Veritas.
“This is also in line with the theme ‘Gifted to Give’ for our celebration of the 500 Years of Christianity this year,” the Church leader said.
Santos said they also provide tertiary scholarships for the seminarians of Bataan in major seminaries in Manila. They also provide livelihood opportunities for the poor and manage a diocesan bakery which offers livelihood training and a feeding program.
Bishop Santos, who has authored several religious books, invited the faithful to support the foundation by purchasing the books and the prayer pamphlets that he has written. The books are available in major bookstores and religious shops.
