Pasig LGU launches city Risk Profile Atlas 2021

The Pasig City local government on Tuesday announced the completion and turnover of its city Risk Profile Atlas for the year 2021.

In a Facebook post, Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto said that the atlas contains information on hazards, risks, and vulnerabilities in each barangay which can be used in creating programs, projects, and activities for a safer, adaptive, and disaster resilient city.

The atlas was created in partnership with the Pasig City government, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (DRRMO), and other national agencies such as the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA).

The City Risk Profile consists of disaster risk management information, physical information, population and demographics, social data, economic information, and current development and administration of the city.

It also contains a series of maps on all hazard, vulnerability and risk information on the city, and pulls together relevant information about areas that are at risk to earthquake and flood related hazards such as expected damaged areas, building damage, liquefaction, shelter capabilities and critical facilities.
