The decision of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) on the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino–Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) row may be known in November.

"(The decision will) likely be sometime in November," Comelec Chairman Sheriff Abas said in a television interview Wednesday, Sept. 29.
He added that the Comelec will still conduct clarificatory hearings.
"After that, we will submit it to the en banc. Afterwhich, we will be voting on the matter," said Abas.
The camps of Energy Secretary Alfonso Cusi and Senator Manny Pacquiao, who are both claiming to be the legitimate leaders of the political party, earlier submitted their Sworn Information Update Statement (SIUS) with the Comelec for the May 2022 polls.
The SIUS is a requirement of the Comelec to every registered political parties containing the full name of the party, headquarters address, list of current officials, list of elected members, and list of members, among others.
The Cusi wing earlier also filed a petition asking the poll body to declare the Pacquiao faction as illegal representatives of PDP-Laban.
On Sept. 22, the poll body directed the camp of Senators Koko Pimentel and Pacquiao to comment on the petition filed by Cusi wing.
"The Commission (En Banc) hereby directs the Respondents to file their answers within five days from receipt hereof via e-mail to the Clerk of the Commission ([email protected]) and furnish the Petitioners a copy thereof," read the order.
