Caloocan City to administer COVID-19 vaccines even on Sundays

The Caloocan City government will administer COVID-19 vaccines even on Sundays to residents, especially those who are working during weekdays.

"Sa naging pulong natin sa ating mga kapitan, may iba raw, Linggo lang pwede magpabakuna dahil nagtatrabaho. Ang sabi ko, walang problema. Basta't may taong babakunahan at nais maging protektado, bubuksan natin ang mga bakunahan kahit Linggo (During our meeting with our village captains, they said that some people can only get vaccinated on Sundays because of their work. I said, no problem. As long as they want to be vaccinated and be protected, we will open the vaccinations even on Sundays)," Mayor Oca Malapitan said.

Walk-in individuals will be accommodated at any vaccination site in the city.

The city mayor urged city residents to get vaccinated.

"Sa mga hindi pa nababakunahan, magpabakuna na po tayo kung anuman ang available na brand. Lahat ng bakuna ay napatunayang nagbibigay ng proteksyon laban sa malalang COVID-19 (For those who have not been vaccinated, please get vaccinated regardless of the available brand. All vaccines have been shown to provide protection against severe COVID-19)," Mayor Malapitan said.

As of September 27, the city has administered 1,523,863 doses of COVID-19 vaccines. Of which, 843,444 received their first dose and 680,419 who are fully vaccinated.
