Bea Alonzo to star in Hollywood film produced by Manny Pacquiao

Kapuso star Bea Alonzo is now a Hollywood star!

This after Variety, a popular entertainment website in the US, reported that Bea will play a “she-devil” female lead in the upcoming Filipino-Hollywood feature "Angel Warrior" by Inspire Studios.

Principal photography will commence in mid-2022 and the film is slated for a U.S. and worldwide release in late 2022, according to Variety.

In a report by Vivienne Chow, "Angel Warrior" is based on a fact-based WWII story.

The movie will be produced by Inspire Studios’ founder and CEO Francis Lara Ho and executive produced by John Shepherd (“The Stoning of Soraya M.”) and Manny Pacquiao, the renowned Filipino boxing champion, politician and media personality. The screenplay is penned by Cyrus Nowrasteh (“The Stoning of Soraya M.”).

The new project will be presented at an event in Los Angeles as part of the Filipino American History Month which will take place on Oct. 2 celebrating Filipino culture and the history of the migration of the Filipinos in the U.S., the report added.
