Ariella Arida on being tagged as Pantasya Ng Bayan: 'No Problem'

Former beauty queen Ariella Arida is slowly establishing herself as a credible actress.

She has appeared in several TV shows and films already.

Now she is trying sex comedy in Vivamax's “Sarap Mong Patayin” opposite Kit Thompson and Lassy Marquez.

Note her role in the film requires her to appear and act a little more “sensual” than usual.

In fact, Viva has tagged her as the new “Pantasya Ng Bayan.”

How does she feel about it?

Ariella shared: “Well, I see nothing wrong with it. I guess it comes with the territory. I mean, it’s just work so...”

Her friend Kylie Verzosa is also being billed as such.

Is she ready to compete with her?

“Wala namang problema sa competition with Kylie as long as it’s a healthy competition. I think it would help us both to be better in our craft,” Ariella retorted.

The dusky beauty was quick to douse expectations.

She made clear she is not going all out in the sexy department.

Apparently, she wants to be an action star.

“Ako kasi mas prefer ko sana talaga action films. ‘Yung parang ‘Lara Craft, Tomb Raider.’ I want to try bad ass roles. ‘Yun talaga ang direction na gusto ko.”
