The Pasay City police apprehended in just two days a total of 667 individuals for violating health protocols under the new alert level and the city's EMI Habit.
Col. Cesar Paday-os said the 317 individuals were apprehended from 12 midnight of September 28 up to 12 noon of September 29 in violation of various health protocols.
Paday-os said 154 individuals were apprehended for not wearing face masks, 123 for violation of the curfew hours, and 40 for not observing physical distancing.
He said those who were apprehended were issued citation tickets in violation of health protocols and the EMI Habit (Ensure to always wash your hands, Mask is a must, and Implement physical distancing).
The city police chief said that from 12 midnight of September 27 up to 12 noon of September 28, 350 individuals were apprehended by patrolling policemen around the city.
Paday-os said 187 were apprehended for not wearing face masks, 117 for violation of the curfew hours, 41 for not observing physical distancing, and five for not wearing face shields.
He said the five individuals who were not wearing face shield were apprehended inside malls and public utility vehicles.
The city police chief said the wearing of face shield in the three Cs (closed or indoor places, crowded areas, and close contacts) must be strictly followed.
