Four areas in Quezon City were placed under the Special Concern Lockdown (SCL) due to the surge in COVID-19 cases.
According to a report from ABS-CBN, areas in Bansalangin Street, Brgy Payatas, Area 6, Luzon Avenue, Brgy. Old Balara, Molave Street in Brgy.Payatas and Road 1, Brgy Bagong Pag-asa will be under special concern lockdown for 14 days starting Sept. 28.
A total of 580 positive cases were recorded at Barangay Old Balara and Barangay Payatas.
Authorized Persons Outside of Residence (APORs) will only be allowed to leave their homes for work but they are required to present negative swab test results.
The City government will provide food packs and essential kits to the affected families.
As of Sept. 28, 53 areas have been placed under SCL where 9,773 active COVID-19 cases were recorded.
