Netizens question Claudine Barretto's eligibility to run as councilor in Olongapo

For some days now, news of Claudine Barretto running for a government position in Olongapo has been making headlines.

Recall that she's among councilors running under the team of talent manager Arnold Vegafria, who’s running for Mayor in Olongapo this coming election.

Some netizens are questioning if Claudine is actually qualified to run there noting she's not even a resident in the said area.

But according to Ogie Diaz, Claudine has been living there for the longest time.

He added that Claudine's late father Miguel was an admin at Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, while Claudine's grandfather was also a politician there.

However, Ogie encouraged the actress to clear her name, particularly with news about Claudine registering as voter there only recently.

"Last Friday daw, nag-file si Claudine or nag-register si Claudine bilang botante ng Olonggapo. Na sinasabi dun, parang change of address," Ogie shared.
