VIRAL: Newlyweds' home destroyed; wife dies from LPG tank explosion

She fought for her life for two weeks

Jeff Avila and Alyza Maria Avila got married last July 24, 2021. Barely a few months into building their own family at Casimiro Town Homes in Las Piñas when their LPG tank exploded last September 10.

According to Balita, the LPG tank leaked when the couple was cooking. It exploded which destroyed their house. They were able to get out of the rubble with the help of the neighbors. Jeff also added that they hardly used the kitchen. They just woke up early, at 6:00 a.m., to prepare lunch before heading out to work. There is a big possibility that rats bit off the hose that caused the leak.

Both husband and wife were hurt with Alysa being rushed to the hospital. She fought hard for the next two weeks. Unfortunately, she passed away last September 24. Jeff has been grieving on his Facebook page and sharing details of the wake of his wife.
