Meet the Gochujang Trio

Coming from its successful run in South Korea and US, Shake Shack's Gochujang Chick’n is finally available in the Philippines starting Sept. 27, 2021. For a limited time, the new menu includes the Gochujang Trio: Gochujang Chick’n, a gochujang-glazed crispy chicken breast with toasted sesame seeds that sits on top of a bed of white kimchi slaw; Gochujang Chick’n Bites, bite-sized crispy white chicken meat; and Gochujang Fries, crispy crinkle cut fries with spicy-sweet gochujang mayo sauce.
Widely popular in Korean cuisine, gochujang is a “thick and spicy-sweet crimson paste made from red chile pepper flakes, glutinous rice (also known as sticky rice), fermented soybeans, and salt,” according to Bon Appetit. For its version, Shake Shack adds finely chopped garlic and ginger into the glaze together with their delectable white kimchi slaw, adding rich umami flavor to the sandwich dish.

To complete the meal, try the Black Sugar Shake, a toasted-caramel black sugar drink which is hand spun with vanilla frozen custard and topped with whipped cream and black sugar syrup. Gochujang Chick’n goes for P275, Gochujang Chick’n Bites at P215 for six pieces and P265 for 10 pieces, Gochujang Fries at P205, and Black Sugar Shake at P210.
From Sept. 27 to Oct. 1, 2021, special offers await those who order from GrabFood including exclusive gochujang sets and free blueberry lemonade for every purchase.
