Seven fishermen dead after boat capsizes in Visayas, 2 still missing
Seven of the nine fishermen that went missing after their boat capsized Friday between the waters off Cebu and Iloilo provinces were found dead following a three-day search and retrieval operations conducted by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) and local divers.
In its report sent to reporters Monday, PCG said that the cadavers of Norberto Parlotzo, Rommel Engle, Julit Salvo, Victor Calvo, Hermoño Ronamo, Frankie Chavez and Renante Forsuelo were already recovered.
Meanwhile, the bodies of two others, identified as Julian Dungog and Manuel Auditor, remain missing.

The sea mishap came after their fishing vessel, FV ST. PETER THE FISHERMAN II, capsized in the waters off Tanguingui Island in Cebu and Gigantes Island in Iloilo in the early morning of Friday, Sep. 24, while they were fishing.
Citing one of the survivors, PCG report said that the fishing vessel listed to its port or left size due to strong winds and big waves, leaving 31 of its crew floating in the waters.
Parlotzo's and Engle's cadavers were retrieved by local divers from the sunken boat on Saturday. Calvo's and Salvo's were recovered by PCG on Sunday, while Romano's body was also discovered on the same day when it was found floating at the sunken site.
On Monday, PCG continued its search and retrieval operations to survey the waters of Sicogon Island in Iloilo, according to PCG spokesman Captain Armand Balilo. This led to the discovery of Chavez' and Forsuelo's bodies.
A total of 22 fishermen were rescued by sister vessel FV OLD MAN AND THE SEA following the incident.
