Local stars like Donnalyn Bartolome and Fumiya Sankai have reacted to claims that they resemble some lead cast members of the South Korean survival drama “Squid Game.”

Netizens related that Donnalyn looks like Kim Joo-Ryung.

She agreed.

On Facebook, she wrote: "Di ko kayo niloloko, sinabi ko bang hindi ako yun? Inaamin ko na. Akala niyo lang nagdidisguise ako kasi hindi ako naka Bloom Bra dun."

Meanwhile, Fumiya could also see the alleged similarity between him and HoYeon Jung.

The Japanese vlogger related: "I used to be told I looked like the guy from Uncanny Counters, but now I get messages from people in the Philippines saying I look like the woman from Squid Game."

"I don't watch Korean dramas, so I have no idea what they're talking about. But when I looked at it, I saw the resemblance," he admitted.

Prior, netizens and local stars also think that Lee Jung-jae, lead actor of the series, is a dead-ringer for Filipino celebrity Slater Young.

“Squid Game,” written and directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk, is a nine-episode series starring Lee Jung-jae, Park Hae-soo and Wi Ha-joon. The story revolves around a group of people who risk their lives in a mysterious survival game to win a ₩45.6 billion prize.

On the other hand, did you know that Filipino actor Carlo Aquino was supposed to be part of the blockbuster Korean survival drama “Squid Game?”
