'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' records highest ratings with episode 10

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” the Korean drama starring Shin Min-a and Kim Seon-ho, achieved its highest ratings to date.

According to Nielsen Korea, the 10th episode of “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” on Sept. 26 received nationwide rating of 11.397 percent (including a peak of 13.1 percent), its highest rating to date, based on paid platforms including cable, IPTV and satellite.

After getting its first double-digit nationwide rating of 10.27 percent for episode 5 last Sept. 12, the ratings “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” decreased to 9.102 percent for episode 7 and 8.145 percent for episode 8 during the Chuseok holiday in South Korea. It bounced back and rose to 9.067 percent for episode 9 on Sept. 25.

Episode 10 also got a rating of 12.432 percent (including a peak of 14.5 percent) in the Seoul metropolitan area.

Among the tvN target audience of 20-49 years old, “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” got 6.3 percent (with a peak of 7.2 percent) nationwide, and 6.8 percent (with a peak of 7.9 percent) in the metropolitan area.

Episode 10 not only achieved record ratings for “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” nationwide, metropolitan area and 20-149 viewership but also took first place on the same time slot among all channels including terrestrial.

In episode 10, Hye-jin (Shin Min-a) and Du-sik (Kim Seon-ho) kissed, confirming their feelings for each other.

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” is currently No. 7 among all shows on Netflix, according to streaming analytics website FlixPatrol.
