Actor Ejay Falcon to run for vice governor in Oriental Mindoro

More and more celebrities are trying their hand at politics.

Actor Ejay Falcon confirmed in an ABS-CBN News interview that he will be running for vice governor in his hometown of Oriental Mindoro in the coming 2022 elections.

The former “Pinoy Big Brother” winner said: “Ako po ay tinawag ng kabutihan. At ang kabutihan na yun ay ang maglingkod sa ating bayan at hindi mo matatanggihan na yun. Ako po ay papasok sa larangan ng pulitika at pagiging public servant.”

Some days ago, the 31-year-old star took to social media to recall his humble beginnings.

"15 years ago, isa akong ordinaryong binata sa Mindoro na rumaraket bilang kargador para makatulong sa pamilya at pambaon sa School, Sako sako ng kopra ang binubuhat ko kasama ang aking mga kaibigan bilang ito ang isa sa pangunahing hanapbuhay samin sa Bacawan Pola Oriental Mindoro," he shared.

According to him, it's actually fulfilling to see how far he has come.

"Nakakatuwa pag nakikita ko ang mga pictures ko noon dahil hindi lang pisikal na anyo ang nagbago sakin kundi pati buhay at pagkatao ko," he related.

"Isa itong paalala kung gaano ako kablessed sa buhay dahil sobra sobra pa sa pinangarap ko ang pinagkaloob sa akin, Kaya kahit papano sa abot ng aking makakaya ay pinagsisikapan ko na tumulong mabless din ang ibang tao sa aking sariling pamamaraan. Sana naiinspire ko ang mga kapwa ko Mindoreño lalo na ang mga kabataan na patuloy na magpursige para umasenso sila sa buhay. Huwag matakot Mangarap, Dahil sa PANGARAP NAG UUMPISA ANG TAGUMPAY."
