2 more RVM nuns succumb to COVID-19

The Congregation of the Religious Virgin Mary (RVM) confirmed on Sunday the deaths of two more nuns due to COVID-19.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, RVM spokesperson Sister Ma. Anicia Co said 10 members of the RVM have now succumbed to COVID-19.

Co said that they are now short of sisters and personnel to attend to the needs of the other sick nuns.

She also warned the public against fake solicitation letters being posted on social media allegedly from RVM.

A total of 62 nuns and 53 staff members of the convent tested positive for COVID-19.

The convent was placed under granular lockdown on September 15.
