BI nabs American, South Korean fugitives

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) announced Friday, September 30, the arrest of two foreigners who were deemed as alleged fugitives in the United States and South Korea.

BI Commissioner Jaime Morente identified them as American Paul Franklin Guzock, 63; and South Korean Park Seongkyeok, 47.

Guzock was nabbed last Monday in Dauis, Bohol and is wanted by a district court in New York for violation of his parole, according to Morente.

On the other hand, the BI chief said Park was picked up at his condominium unit in Taguig City last Wednesday, and is wanted by his government for cyber prostitution.

It was alleged that in 2014, Park and his accomplices created an Internet website that advertised the pictures and prices of women working in brothel houses. The group allegedly amassed more than 21 billion won or roughly US $17.7 million.

Morente said that Guzock and Park will be deported to their respective countries for being undesirable and undocumented aliens while their passports were invalidated by their respective governments.

“They will be included in our Immigration blacklist to prevent them from returning ,” Morente said.
