In addition, 326,875 people have been given the first dose, equivalent to 84.7 percent of the target population.

A total of 567,436 vaccines have been administered to date in Muntinlupa.

The Muntinlupa City government is targeting to vaccinate 70 percent of its estimated population of 551,036.

Last Tuesday, MunCoVac announced that it received a new supply of component 2 or second dose of the Sputnik V vaccine.

The delivery to the country of Sputnik V second dose was delayed several times which, according to the National Task Force against COVID-19, was due to production issues that faced the vaccine manufacturer.

A total of 190,000 doses of Sputnik V component 2 arrived in the country last Sept. 18, which will be sent to Isabela, Bacoor City in Cavite, Metro Manila, and some areas in Regions 3 and 4-A.

In addition to vaccinating 18 years old and above, the Muntinlupa City government is also registering 12 to 17-year-olds for vaccination.

MunCoVac said this is only for registration and scheduling as vaccination of minors has not started yet.

“There are no guidelines yet from the national government so do not go to vaccination sites if you are 17 years old and below,” it advised the public.

As of Sept. 21, 9,509 12 to 17-year-olds have registered with MunCoVac or 17 percent of the age group’s Muntinlupa population of 55,391.

Muntinlupa has 1,690 active COVID-19 cases as of Sept. 24 out of 25,516 confirmed cases, 23,305 recoveries and 521 deaths.
