'Hospital Playlist 2,' 'Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha' among favorite TV shows in Korea

“Hangout with Yoo,” “Hospital Playlist 2,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” and “Running Man” were chosen as favorite TV shows in South Korea in September.

Gallup Korea released on Sept. 23 the top 20 rankings of the favorite TV shows in Korea based on a survey conducted from Sept. 12 to 16. A total of 1,001 people aged 18 and above nationwide were respondents in the survey.

“Hangout with Yoo,” hosted by entertainer Yoo Jae-suk, took first place with 5.2 percent, rising from fifth place in August, and reclaiming the top spot after three months.

The trot show “Romantic Call Centre” grabbed second place with 4.8 percent, sliding from first place in the last survey.

The Korean drama “Hospital Playlist 2” is in third place with 4.4 percent, maintaining its ranking from last month.

“Revolutionary Sisters,” the 50-episode drama on KBS2 placed fourth with 3.7 percent, down from second place from August.

“Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” the weekend drama starring Shin Min-a and Kim Seon-ho, is in seventh place with 3 percent, entering the survey for the first time.

“I Live Alone” ranked ninth with 2 percent while “Running Man” bagged 10th place with 1.9 percent.

Here are the top favorite TV programs in South Korea in September based on the Gallup Korea survey:

7. “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha” (tvN) - 3%

8. “Red Shoes” (KBS2) - 2.2%

9. “I Live Alone” (MBC) - 2%

10. “Running Man” (SBS) - 1.9%

11. “The Story of the Day Biting the Tail” (SBS) - 1.7%

12. “Let's Play Soccer Season 2” - (JTBC) - 1.6%

- “Powerful Opponents” (TV Chosun) - 1.6%

15. “I Am a Natural Person” (MBN) - 1.5%
