Archdiocese of Manila official says Cardinal Advincula 'on the road to recovery'

Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula has no more symptoms of COVID-19.

Fr. Reginald Malicdem, chancellor of the Archdiocese of Manila, revealed this on Wednesday.

"He is on the road to recovery,” he said in a CBCP News post.

Malicdem added that the 69-year old cardinal is just completing the days of quarantine.

Advincula tested positive for the coronavirus on Sept. 17, prompting him to quarantine himself.

The archdiocese said he had no other symptoms aside from a slight fever.

The cardinal is fully vaccinated against COVID-19 even before he was installed Manila archbishop in June.
